Another sketch for IndieVault's 2D contest (create a weapon and it's "hero" - mine is called the Esperanta). I used a techique that I thought might be cool, but it's a pain in the ass, so never again :D

I never got the hang of this kind of shading process since I'm more inclined in the japanese woodblock printing style of coloring x.x I tried it once but it looks more like a botch x.x

"botch" sounds great, like if someone chopped someone's arm and used it as a brush :D

Phewww! :D That does look like a very time consuming color approach-- but that said, it looks awesome brother! Maybe you could use it on special projects? :) I'm with you though on the avoiding "pain in the ass techniques" as much as possible.

I already used it in a special project: it was called "why the f#@*k are you using this technique art ensemble" and I won't repeat it ever again. EVERRRRRRRRR :D Ahahahaha I still have the scars of frustration from this one :D

That coloring looks laborious.

Yup, never EVER again!!! :D I did everything on a single layer (bg apart), so I had to pay attention not to go too much over the lines when coloring. I like how the half-covered lines ended up looking, but NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

The end results are beautiful, but yeah, sometimes the labour isn't worth the results.  Ooh, and I have to say that I just unlocked the Sailor ship!  And got to the fourth city!  I'm actually improving.  It's taking a while but I'm improving.  And after playing for a while on hard and paranoid mode, I'm now comfortable with the top-down view.  This game really is wonderful.

Waaaah! Gecko you make me so happy :) Everything I hope a player would find in Goscurry, you're finding. Thanks for that!!! :ahoy:

By the way, I might delay the final release a little bit more (even if there's no real reason, since everything seems to work so I shouldn't be worried): I had the terrible idea of entering a jam, where you have to create a game within next Sunday, and that will keep me superbusy along with other regular client job :B I'm doing it with a couple friends, and since the theme was "party" I designed a game called Quantum Party Crasher, where you travel in time to crash parties (we probably will be able to make only the Middle Age party, but who knows) :D

Well, you let me know when the release is, and I'll promote it to the best of my abilities.  This new game sounds fascinating too!  I really do hope that that you're going to release Goscurry in final form before Christmas, though.  I have a few friends I know would enjoy it, and I want to buy a copy for them.

I will definitely release before Christmas: if I don't release within November I'm a giant ass :D And I'm superglad you want to gift it to friends, but don't you dare to buy! Let me know how many keys you want to gift, and I'll send them to you :)

Okay, but how are you making money then?  You need to profit somehow from this amazing product!  I really hope it's before the end of November, though, because I want my December voting incentive to be Goscurry-themed.

I definitely need to profit! But not from friends :) Let me know the amount of keys and I'll throw them to you. And I vouch on Excalibur that Goscurry will be out within November! Also because yesterday the Humble Store opened and asked me if I wanted to be there, and I obviously want, since that would bring great advertising, so I'm hurrying in spite of the damn weekly jam game U_U
